Ms. Vanessa Garcia - SLP

Greetings BES Pioneers!

My name is Vanessa Garcia, one of the speech-language specialists at Ysabel Barnett Elementary School. My role is to aid children with their communication development in the following areas: articulation, voice, fluency, receptive language, expressive language, and social language. I provide speech-language therapy services and assess students of various communication needs within the special education department. I also provided Response-to-Intervention opportunities in the general education setting to ensure the success of students in their classrooms.

BES has been my home for nearly 12 years, and it has been a great pleasure working with students, families, and staff over the course of time. I look forward to building relationships, creating a safe and comfortable learning environment, and helping my students grow in their education.
